Christiaan advises ultra-affluent individuals, family offices and professional advisors on life insurance planning strategies. He has extensive experience partnering with UK, US and international families. Christiaan has a particular interest in US UK life insurance for IHT/estate tax planning, a topic on which he enjoys sharing his knowledge with the wider international private client advisor network.
Christiaan joined Vie in 2016 and is a qualified, independent financial advisor in the UK, holding the Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning, DipPFS. He is also a New York licensed life insurance agent and holds the advanced life insurance for estate planning qualification, Chartered Life Underwriter, CLU from the American College of Financial Services. Christiaan has passed the Securities Industry Essentials, SIE, Series 6 and Series 63 exams with FINRA in the USA. Christiaan is a Registered Representative with M Holdings Securities, Inc regulated by FINRA.
Prior to joining Vie, Christiaan worked for 7 years in strategic risk consulting and the healthcare technology sector. He graduated from Eton College and read Politics (MA) at Edinburgh University.
